Enriqueta Bermea

Warren-Enriqueta Bermea, born on September 8th, 1928 to Eduardo Cisneros and Cecilia Gomez, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 1st, 2023. Enriqueta was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who was cherished by all who knew her.

Enriqueta spent her early years in Matamoros, Mexico before relocating to Brownsville, Texas where she lived and worked. Queta, as she was known to her family and friends, married Felipe Bermea on July 6th, 1958 and together they settled in Warren, Ohio where Felipe had established friends during his time at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station. Together they raised three children, Ray, Eddie and Cindy.  Queta was a great storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor, leaving everyone in stitches at her dramatic renditions of events. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and they all have fond memories of their time with her. Queta also enjoyed dancing, traveling, playing cards, and shopping.

Enriqueta is survived by her children, Raymond (Jan) Bermea, Cynthia Woodford, and Edward (Alyssa) Bermea. She leaves her grandchildren whom she adored, Michelle Bermea, Leslie Bermea, Elizabeth (Ben), Wilkins, Katelyn (Nicole) Woodford-Shell, Alexandra Woodford, Anthony Bermea and Vivian Bermea. Enriqueta also leaves her dear sister, Adela Hinijosa and many loving nieces and nephews.

Enriqueta was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Felipe, 4 brothers, 5 sisters, her son-in-law David and her grandson Julian.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a service immediately following. Following the service, Enriqueta will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetary in Bazetta, Ohio.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice House for their excellent care of Enriqueta in her final days. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
