Jane E. Rossetti

Jane E. Rossetti, age 88 of North Canton, Ohio, loving mother and adoring wife of Bernard A. Rossetti passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 after a brief illness with her son and daughter by her side. Born June 12, 1934 to the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Williams) Hackathorn.

Survived by her daughter Marcia (Norman) Kendle, and son Bernard Jr. (Kym) Rossetti; grandchildren Jennifer (Matt) Aller, Michael (Selena) Rossetti, Dr. Anthony Kendle (Dr. Tanner Wright), Chris (Micki) Dalpra, Natalie and Nickalas Rossetti and Melissa Sterner who was like a granddaughter. Also survived by great-grandchildren Olivia and Isabella Aller, Valerie, Thomas and Joseph Rossetti, and JJ Dalpra; her much loved cat Sadie; brother Thomas (Barbara) Hackathorn; in-laws Francie (Garry) Fisher, Carolyn (Gary) Cooper, Alan (Desiree) Rossetti, Kathy Sherman, Dan Simile; and sisters-in-law Joan and Marty Rossetti, Jean Hackathon; dearest aunt Jeanette Kragalott; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Jane was proceeded in death by her husband Bernard A. Rossetti, to whom she was married to for 61 years; infant daughter Debra Ann Rossetti; brother Robert Hackathon; sisters Kay Pappas and Judith Caley; in-laws Richard Rossetti, Ronald Rossetti, Dennis Rossetti, Gary and Kenneth Rossetti and Rosemarie Porco; beloved in-laws Tony and Julia Rossetti; and step-mother Catherine Rossetti.

Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and caregiver who always put everyone before herself. She was a wonderful Italian cook and baker. Jane was employed by Ohio Bell, and served as a honorary lifetime member and past President of the Parent Teachers Association. A lifetime member of Moreland Christian Church, and most recently she was initiated into the Catholic faith. She showed grace and strength as she accepted her terminal cancer diagnosis.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home (730 30th St. N.W. Canton, OH) on Sunday, March 5th from 4 to 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony/ All Saints Parish (1530 11th St. S.E. Canton, OH) on Monday, March 6th, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski as celebrant. A viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. will also be held prior to the Mass in church. Internment to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
