Timothy D. Speelman, age 77, of Canton passed away Sunday November 2, 2025. He was born October 15, 1948, in Mansfield, OH to his parents, the late, Glenn and Catherine (Breen) Speelman. Tim was a member of Guardian Angels Parish and served on their Home and School and Finance Committees. He retired from AEP with over 40 years as an electrical technician and stayed close with AEP retirees. Tim was actively involved with Perry Heights Baseball Association as a coach, umpire, and served many other roles. He also volunteered in many roles with Perry Youth Soccer. Tim loved all the Cleveland teams, especially the Cleveland Browns.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy M. Speelman; and two brothers, Thomas (Laura) Speelman and James Speelman.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Speelman; daughters, Kelly (Ty) Pruett and Susan (Bob) Taylor; a son, John Speelman; daughter-in-law, Stacey Speelman; grandchildren, Erin (Matt) Rose, Caitlyn Pruett, Connor Pruett, and Destiny Speelman; step grandchildren, Mike Taylor, Morgan Higley, James Peters and Dimitri Isaacs; great grandchildren, Archer Rose, Logan Rose and Beau Higley; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Speelman; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11 AM at Guardian Angels Parish / St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (4940 Tuscarawas St. W., Canton, OH 44708) with Rev. Fr. Thomas Bishop and Rev. Fr. Bryan Tutas as co-celebrants. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM and Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel. He will be cremated and entombed at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joan of Arc School Scholarship Fund.
