CFCS offers at no charge, to anyone, of any faith, who has cremated remains at home or is considering scattering, the dignified committal of the remains at any of our cemeteries. The committal will occur at the All Souls Remembrance Crypt and then the remains will be permanently interred within the consecrated grounds of the Catholic Cemetery

With the Mother Teresa Program, CFCS is able to give back to the community by ensuring that those in need in our community receive sacred and dignified funeral, cremation and cemetery services.

This unique program allows for graves or crypts already owned by families to be transformed into a family estate. Depending on the grave or crypt selected, a number of cremated remains can typically be added. The plot will serve as a family’s final gathering place, allowing family members who have lived apart to be together on their final journey.

This program provides caring funeral and cemetery financial support for those who have suffered the loss of a child. The program also provides sacred interment services in the Order of Christian Funerals, for hospitals within the community, for the death of an unborn child at any of our Catholic Cemeteries.

Calvary Cemetery was established in 1904 and the first burial took place October 8th, 1905 for Rev. John Burkel in the Priest section of the cemetery. Forty-five of the ninety acres of land have been developed which leaves an abundance of space for us to continue to use in the future. Originally part of the Diocese of Cleveland, Calvary joined the Diocese of Youngstown in 1949 and has been faithfully serving the Diocesan parishes and its families in the Stark County area ever since.
When you enter the grounds, you’ll encounter a beautiful park-like entrance that features several 200+ year-old oak trees. This invokes an air of calm and peace as you continue through into the heart of the cemetery. Further into the cemetery, you’ll find various touchpoints of the Catholic faith, including a section featuring monuments that depict the Stations of the Cross. The cemetery also holds a Cremorial Garden which features in-ground niche spaces for cremated remains arranged around a granite bench.
In addition to the acres of burial lots, Calvary Cemetery houses three mausoleums and two columbaria. The first mausoleum opened in 1929 and the first entombment was on August 7th of that year. Since that time Calvary has added two more mausoleums. The Chapel Mausoleum, built in 1997, contains a quiet, tranquil,indoor spacewith glass-front or granite frontniches as well as granite front crypt spaces.Committals and services are held here. The outside walls contain granite front niches and crypts as well. A special feature on the eastern outside wall of the mausoleum is the All Souls Remembrance crypt which provides free placement of cremated remains on consecrated grounds to people of all faiths.Our St. Michael/St. Joan of Arc Community Mausoleum, built in 2004, is named after two local parishes. This mausoleum features outside granite front crypts and niches. Not far from the mausoleums are two columbaria built in 2005 and 2011 and featuring granite front niches for cremated remains.
