James “Jim” L. Weber

James "Jim" L. Weber, age 85 of North Canton, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023 after a brief illness.

He was born in Danville, Ohio to the late Roman and Lena (Lower) Weber. He was a 1957 graduate of Danville High. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, North Canton and also the Secular Franciscan Order.

After serving two years in the U.S. Army, he settled in North Canton and began working for his brother, John Weber as a brick layer, then later for his brother, Paul Weber. After Paul's death, he worked for his nieces at Bob-O-Link Apartments until his retirement.

Jim kept busy with yard work and planting flowers around his home. One of his greatest joys was being able to help others with his time and talents and always did it with a smile on his face.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (Kovach) Weber; infant son, Michael; and siblings, Rita, John, Louis, Raymond, Paul, Patty, Bernadette, and Joe. He is survived by daughters, Patricia (Mark) Benner and Theresa Nichols; sister, Eloise Weber; goddaughters, Kathy Weber and Julie Weber; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A special thank you to the staff of Mercy Hospital, Pebble Creek Rehabilitation, and Summa Hospice for all their kindness and respect for Jim and his family.
